Argelès-sur-Mer
At the foot of the Albères Mountain, the village Argelès-sur-Mer welcomes tourists to partake in all the wonders that this coastal city has to offer. During the 13th and 14th centuries the Aragon Kings and Kings of Majorca stayed in the castle fortress. In 1659 the village became part of France. Today, the village is known for its easy pace, Catalan accent, rich architectural heritage, and market as much as it is for the its natural attributes. The long sandy beaches and the 12 hectares of pine forests are breathtaking. Enjoy the 3-kilometer boardwalk between sea and trees. The colors are different every season. The sun, sea, Portells and Ouille Bays give everyone the impression that paradise does exist.
The people that live and work here will welcome you with pleasure and introduce you to their beautiful city.
Don’t miss the Valmy Park with its gardens and stunning views.
